In cases of civil emergencies and major disasters, the emergency services and other nominated organisations can contact BT’s Emergency Link line number.

The Link line will connect them to the Integrated Management Centre’s team of Duty Managers who have a great deal of experience in dealing with major incidents.

Please note this number is NOT for normal business enquiries.

BT will support a multi-agency response to incidents, and provide a representative to attend the GOLD Command Centre. We call our representative a ‘Police Liaison Manager’ (PLM), but their role is to support all agencies at GOLD, including all of the Emergency Services.

We will not automatically send a PLM to GOLD, and a request to activate our PLM must therefore be made, via the BT Emergency Link line.
